Bacon wrapped water chestnuts
1 can of whole water chestnuts
thick sliced bacon
toothpicks
Sauce:
1/2 cup of chili sauce
2 Tb. brown sugar
1 Tb. white vinegar
1 Tb. yellow mustard
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Drain water chestnuts. Wrap each chestnut with a 1/2 slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on foil lined baking tray and cook until bacon is nearly crisp. Remove from oven, drain grease and brush with prepared sauce. Return to oven and continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes or until sauce has carmelized. Watch closely to avoid burning. Allow to cool and enjoy!
