Green Beans with Bacon and Mushrooms
2 Tb. butter
1 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed
2 cups button mushrooms, roughly chopped
6 strips bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
splash of cream sherry
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup slivered almonds
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add green beans, chopped mushrooms, bacon and cream sherry. Season with salt and pepper Saute until bacon almost crisp and grean beans are cooked but still have a bite to them. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and stir to combine.
